IT Manager

This position is responsible for managing all organization technologies and providing technology support and training.  Primary duties include: analyzing systems and processes; maintaining workstations and networks; maintaining web-based applications.

 


Duties:

 

·         Demonstrated thorough knowledge and experience in planning, deploying and maintenance of technologies including LANS/WANS; Windows Server Environment; Microsoft SQL Server; Windows Server Administration, Active Directory, Microsoft, Exchange Server, Microsoft SharePoint, anti-virus solutions, backup solutions, Classic ASP, VBScript, computer hardware (replacing hard drives, hardware drivers, etc.), repair and diagnosis of x86 systems, centralized authentication experience. Experienced in Application Service Provider environment.

 

·         Manages network operations to include: troubleshooting connectivity problems; installing & maintaining routers; adding/terminating users; assigning rights and access; resetting passwords; establishing e-mail addresses; assessing and reporting operational status; performing backups and restores; etc.

 

·         Manages an internal IT help desk – responding to users requests in a timely manner

·         Assists staff in understanding and using technology; conducts regular staff technology presentations and trainings.

 

·         Performs routine preventive maintenance on hardware and software.

 

·         Manages technology inventory to include procurement and disposal.

 

·         Ensures compliance with all software licensing agreements.  Manages and safeguards software media and associated licenses.  Tracks software versions.  Maintains centralized software use log.

 

·         Ensures networks, workstations, operating systems and software applications are operational; ensures hardware and software is patched and/or updated; ensures all analog and broadband circuits are operational in accordance with vendor specifications.

 

·         Ensures for the availability, continuity and security of data and information pertaining to the organization.

 

·         Prepares, maintains and tests a technology disaster recovery plan.

 

·         Manages external technology projects.

·         Manages customer data vault and data hosting services

·         Provides customer hardware and IT support

 

·         Respects confidentiality of organization, project, fiscal and personnel related information.

 

 

 

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
